Israeli soldier disrespected a cross, which is a sacred symbol in Christianity.

Peace be upon you, and the mercy and blessings of Allah.

As you may have seen in the news, there are reports that an Israeli soldier disrespected a cross, which is a sacred symbol in Christianity.

 Christians believe that Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) was crucified on the cross, while in Islam it is believed that Jesus (peace be upon him) was raised alive.

However, the important point is that both religions hold Jesus (peace be upon him) in high regard as a respected prophet.

Despite this, the reported act of a soldier flipping and desecrating a cross is highly inappropriate. Even though such a concept does not exist in Islam, if something is considered sacred by another religion, it deserves respect—whether one personally believes in it or not.

This is similar to how Muslims deeply love and respect Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

 If someone were to associate an image or symbol with him and then insult or desecrate it, it would be unacceptable to Muslims. 

In the same way, insulting the symbols, leaders, or prophets of any religion deeply hurts the followers of that faith.

I strongly condemn the actions of this soldier and call upon the Muslim community to raise their voices against such behavior. 

No believer of any religion has the right to insult another’s faith or engage in actions that hurt the feelings of others.

I also appeal to the Christian community: if there is silence, or if your voices are not being heard clearly, it is concerning. 

In such matters, it is important for all people to speak up.

In response to such actions, every human being has the right to raise their voice. 

We can only live peacefully in society if we respect one another’s humanity. Anyone who believes they can insult others and live peacefully is mistaken. 

Harm brings harm in return—whether today or tomorrow, in this world or the next.

That is why the concept of accountability and the Day of Judgment holds such importance in Islam.

I pray that my message reaches you all clearly. 

I request everyone to stand firmly against anything that disrupts peace, unity, and mutual respect among humanity.
